Giraffe Civil Contracting have a been bulk hauling clay from four different quarries around the north of the state to Austral Bricks, Longford for over 20 years. Controlling all mining leases and permits for Austral Bricks, Giraffe excavate, blend, haul and stockpile approx. 50,000 cubic meters per year.

Working alongside Mike Hammersley Contracting, Giraffe Civil worked on a cable logging road in Springfield, North-East region of Tasmania. Our Doosan DX225 excavator was busy forming up roads, constructing log truck turning holes, passing bays as well as construction of a timber retaining walls to control bank erosion and potential landslip hazards.

Giraffe Civil Contracting were involved in the Northern Tasmania’s Small Towns Water Upgrade Program. Mathinna upgrades started in January 2018 and completed by March 2018. Giraffe Civil were contracted under Water Industries Solutions to dig and lay the new water services in and through the township, covering over 2km’s of pipe laying etc.
